The South Australian Maritime Museum is home to the largest collection of ship’s figureheads in the Southern Hemisphere. Many of the figureheads are on display to the public and provide a beautiful look back at the history of maritime design.
Some are in near-perfect condition, while a few are a little worse for wear after spending a number of years gracing private gardens. Below are some of my favourites.
