South Australian Maritime Museum Figureheads

The South Aus­tralian Mar­itime Museum is home to the largest col­lec­tion of ship’s fig­ure­heads in the South­ern Hemi­sphere. Many of the fig­ure­heads are on dis­play to the pub­lic and pro­vide a beau­ti­ful look back at the his­tory of mar­itime design.

Some are in near-perfect con­di­tion, while a few are a lit­tle worse for wear after spend­ing a num­ber of years grac­ing pri­vate gar­dens. Below are some of my favourites.
